What is an Exchange - answer...

An exchange is when you meet another letterboxer and they stamp their
signature stamp into your log book & you stamp your sig stamp image into
their log book.
An exchange can occur on the trail, by chance encounter or at a gathering or
any time two boxers meet and exchange images.

I'm sorry to ask such a newbie question, but what exactly is
involved in an "exchange"? I think it has something to do with
swapping letterbox stamps.
